Order No. (31) of 2014 With Respect to some of Imposed charges at the Labour Market Regulatory Authority

The Prime Minister:

Having reviewed Law No. (19) of 2006 Concerning the Regulation of Labour Market, particularly Articles No. (4, 42) thereof; and
Order No. (26) of 2008 Concerning the Fees Imposed on Employers for Obtaining and Renewal of Work Permits, Residence Permits for Members of the Employee’s and Foreign Employer’s Family;
Order No. (1) of 2014 Concerning the Regulation of Permits for the Recruitment Offices;
Order No. (2) of 2014 Concerning the Regulation of Permits for Practicing Professional Activities by Foreign Employer;
Order No. (3) of 2014 Concerning the Regulation of Permits for Workers Recruitment Agencies;
Order No. (4) of 2014 Concerning the Regulation of Work Permits for Domestic Servants and their equivalents, and
Upon the proposal by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and taking into consideration the recommendations of production parties and consulting with them; and
Upon submission by the Minister of Labour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority; and
Upon approval by the Council of Ministers

Orders as follows:

Article (1)

The fee payable on issuing permit for recruitment offices shall be two hundred Bahraini Dinar (BD.200), and the fees payable for the renewal of the permit shall be one hundred Bahraini Dinar (BD.100).

Article (2)

The fee payable by a foreign employer to obtain permit for practicing a professional activity or renewal thereof shall be two hundred Bahraini Dinar (BD.200). This includes the fees of practicing the professional activity by the foreign employer, NOC, entry visa, residence permit, return visa, medical examination and the ID card.

Article (3)

The fee payable on issuing permit for recruitment agency shall be five hundred Bahraini Dinar (BD.500) and the fees for renewal of the permit shall be one hundred Bahraini Dinar (BD.100).

Article (4)

The fee payable by the employer for every work permit for domestic servants and their equivalent shall be thirty Bahraini Dinar (BD.30) and thee renewal fees of each permit shall be forty Bahraini Dinar (BD.40).

Article (5)

Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraphs (e) and (f) of Article (42) of Law No. (19) of 2006 Concerning the Regulation of Labour Market, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority is responsible for collecting fees referred to in this Order.

Article (6)

The Minster of Labour, Chairman of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and all the concerned entities shall implement this Order, and shall come into force on the date following its publication in the Official Gazette.
