Through this service, the expatriate employee can apply for a work permit cancellation after the expiry of the work permit date.

3 Any document that proofs the reason of cancellation, for example:
  • A job offer letter (in case the expatriate employee transfers to another company).
  • Employer’s pledge (in case of changing the permit type to a domestic employee permit).
  • Expatriate employee's pledge (in case the expatriate employee transfers to a government entity or any other entity that is not under LMRA umbrella.
  • Travel ticket to leave the country.

Process Description

  1. The worker should attach the Expatriates Service Application Form PDF (1.14 MB) and submit it through Expatriate Services System.
  2. Verifying the application by LMRA.
  3. Receiving approval from LMRA.

Processing Time

  • Two working days.
